Kylie Padilla celebrates her birthday and engagement



"Encantadia" star Kylie Padilla turns twenty four and is now engaged with Aljur Abrenica. This statement came official through Vidanes Celebrity Marketing’s late post on Instagram. It came only a day after news broke out about Kylie's pregnancy with actor Aljur.

Vidanes Celebrity Marketing reported the engagement of Kapuso stars Kylie and Aljur on Instagram. It read, "Vidanes Celebrity Marketing" want to announce to the public the engagement of Ms. Kylie Padilla and Mr. Aljur Abrenica." This was posted on Tuesday night, soon after news broke out about Kylie's pregnancy.

Both sides haven't given any official statements yet but a reliable source confirms that the couple are indeed expecting. Kylie Padilla posted a photograph of Aljur giving her an embrace on Instagram. Kylie captioned it, "I know these past days have been rough, but can’t wait for the day people get to know you like I know you. Can’t wait to share how it happened. I’m just happy I am sharing it with you."

Unexpectedly, Kylie Padilla is celebrating her birthday and now three months pregnant and engaged to Aljur Abrenica on her twenty-fourth birthday.

Duterte urged to declare Miss Universe a non-working holiday



Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo on Tuesday encouraged MalacaƱang to proclaim January 30, coronation day of Miss Universe 2016, a non-working holiday.

Castelo, who is likewise the chairman of House committee on Metro Manila Development, said that declaring the said date a holiday will give Filipinos the chance to watch the international pageant and to give support for Maxine Medina, the country’s representative.

“Last hosted by the Philippines in 1994, the much awaited competition of beautiful women from across the globe would be held right here in our country, in Manila actually, so the more the occasion becomes very relevant for all of us,” Castelo said in a statement.

“It would be a pity if our countrymen miss the opportunity to witness in their own backyard a contest where Filipinas have proven to excel and become certified champions on beauty and brains,” he further explained.

Workers will appreciate a long weekend beginning from the celebration of the Chinese New Year on January 28 if President Rodrigo Duterte announces the Miss Universe coronation a special holiday.

Castelo additionally clarified that it would give the people "respite from political noise and corporate stress," and would likewise save Metro Manila from traffic.

“Remember, Manila would be on the eye of the world during the Miss Universe. The city should be at its best when the curtain rises,” he added.

The Miss Universe 2016 pageant will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on January 30.
